Please help us finish Phase Two! After months of planning and fundraising, Phase One of the Augusta Jewish Museum is completed and ready for display installation! Several months ago Studio 3 Design Group and Duckworth Contractors completed the
renovation of the Court of Ordinary. Display construction is underway with tours by appointment. Phase One preview and proclamation will be in late July 2021. The Telfair Street Synagogue renovation is underway as Phase Two. The funding effort continues to Save our Synagogue as Phase Two, which will be a beautiful event venue, a theater, and additional display space.

Welcome to the Augusta Jewish Museum
The Work to Save the Oldest Standing Synagogue in Georgia Continues Here
The mission of the Augusta Jewish Museum is to reclaim and restore the original Congregation Children of Israel Synagogue, the oldest standing synagogue in Georgia, and re-purpose it as a Museum and Center for Education. The adjacent historic Court of Ordinary which is an early fireproof building in GA once preserved Richmond County’s records. Now, as part of the new Augusta Jewish Museum, it will collect, preserve and interpret the rich evidence of the Jewish experience in Augusta, GA, Aiken, SC and the rest of the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) and will educate, challenge and inspire audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
