Our next AJM program is the opening reception of the traveling exhibit "Bridging the River: Aiken Jewish Heritage - a Source of Light Centennial Exhibit" currently being shown at the Aiken County Historical Museum. There will also be a "Pop Up Judaica Shop".

This wonderful exhibit will be on loan from the Aiken County Historical Museum. It will be displayed from May 29 to July 15. Along with exhibits, there will be video kiosk that will tell the story of Aiken Jewish Heritage.

The story of the saving and future plans for the Augusta Jewish Museum's two historic buildings will come to life through exhibits and video.

Volunteers will be present to conduct tours of the museum and to answer questions.

The former Court of Ordinary, now the AJM Education Center is fully renovated, accessible, and is our exhibit space. AJM's permanent exhibits, being fabricated by HW Exhibits,  are scheduled for completion by the end of 2022. The Telfair Street Synagogue which is undergoing renovation is available for viewing. While the building is being renovated, it is not handicapped accessible so the upper floor can only be viewed by climbing the stairs in front of the building.
