Please join us for our historic marker dedication of the two historic buildings constructed in the 1800s that were saved from demolition. After the dedication, previews of the AJM Stories Interviews will be shown in the AJM Education Center.

About the Event
Please join us on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 2 p.m. at 525 Telfair Street in downtown Augusta for our historic marker dedication of the two buildings constructed in the 1800s that were saved from demolition. The markers have been donated by the Reverend Pierre Robert Chapter of Colonial Dames 17th Century. Attendees will include the State Chapter President of Colonial Dames Amelia Pelton, local chapter President Daphne Hopson, incoming Mayor of Augusta the Honorable Garnett Johnson, Executive Director Erick Montgomery of Historic Augusta, Augusta Jewish Museum Board President Jack Weinstein, the AJM Board and Volunteers. There will also be a preview of the AJM Stories. The AJM Stories project is an ongoing project partially funded by Georgia Humanities to interview people and preserve the Jewish history of Augusta and the CSRA. Guests are invited to tour both historic buildings. Light refreshments will be served.Â
